We were met at the airport by the staff driver, who spoke great English and told us a lot about the area. Check in was smooth and the staff...the day and night staff and the cleaning staff as well...are so lovely. Polite, helpful, and just so charming. The room is traditional style, so wood everywhere, including wooden door and window shutters (outside the glass ones), which I love. The bed was really comfortable, so we slept well. It's really a quiet part of town, with maybe a bit of commotion when the Monks do the procession up the street, but we were up for that anyway to watch (the back to bed lol). Breakfast goes later than most places, finishing at 11. And be sure to try the omelette there. They make it Laos style, so it has coriander/cilantro in it. I could eat those every day and never get tired. There's one of the more famous temples just up the road that has really unusual mosaic and inlay work, so be sure to see that.

Every staff is so friendly, supporting and responsible and they always checked proactively if there is anything they can do. The boss (i guess) even upgraded us to a bigger and nicer room. The style of the house is typical luang prabang style with wooden windows - very exotic There is a beautiful garden in the middle sounded by the houses and breakfast is served by a super nice lady there. Luang Prabang is not a dangerous town at all, but there is always a staff staying in a temporary bed in the lobby during the night. We feel safe.

This is a great little hotel. We stayed for a week and it did not disappoint. Its in a great location. The staff are extremely helpful & friendly. The upstairs rooms were very comfortable & clean with a private balcony at one side & at the street side a shared balcony from which you can see the monks come past for alms. Good showers. Breakfasts were exceptional in the beautiful courtyard - don't miss the baguette toast with homemade coconut & tamarind jam with a cup of smoked Lao tea. Would definitely return here again.

Lovely courtyard to take an excellent (included) breakfast each morning. Also a nice spot to just retreat to if not wanting to be in your room or outside. The staff were super nice. My family (with kids) had the Orchid Suite, which was large with a balcony overlooking the street. Other rooms (for just 2 people) are obviously not so big and somewhat darker. If I were just travelling one other and could afford the larger room, I think it's worth it.

The central courtyard garden was beautiful, as was the quaint, teak-clad room. A substantial breakfast with lots of options was served in the beautiful garden setting. The staff were friendly and helpful. Koukie taught me some Lao and we had some lovely conversations, in English. The central location in the old historic part of town allowed me to step outside the door, one morning, to see the alms giving procession of the monks.
